The third annual Muddy Puddles “Mess Fest” will be held Saturday August 8th at Kiwi Country Day Camp in Mahopac, NY from 11:00am to 4:00pm. The Muddy Puddles Project is a fundraising platform for the Ty Louis Campbell (TLC) Foundation in support of pediatric cancer research.
The “Mess Fest” is a celebration of children and childhood with a wide variety of outdoor games and activities. The annual event honors Ty Campbell, a young boy from Pawling, NY who lost his battle with brain cancer in October 2012. Ty dreamed of the day he would be well enough to jump in muddy puddles. In memory of Ty and in honor of all children battling cancer, families in the tri-state area are encouraged to attend for the opportunity to embrace that simple wish and the meaning behind it. Over the past two years, more than 4,500 guests attended the 2013 and 2014 events combined, raising more than $150,000 for the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation in support of childhood cancer research. This year an anticipated 2,500+ cheerful children, parents, media outlets and sponsors are expected in the hopes to raise even more money to support groundbreaking research.
The “Mess Fest” is an outdoor event featuring food, music, games, rides, and, of course, mud! Bring your family for mud jumping, food fights, pie tosses, treasure hunts, water balloon tosses, zip lines, climbing walls, splash paint and dozens of other kid-centered activities for all ages. After the event, we will rinse the muddy kids off with a hose straight from a fire truck!
