Pegasus Program Beginning 10/8

Children and Adult Caregivers - Understanding alcohol and drug dependency and coping skills

September 29, 2015

Registration is now underway for the spring session of the Pegasus Program. The program begins on Thursday, October 8th, 2015, and runs Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm for 8 weeks. Sessions are held at the Putnam County Youth Bureau.

Sponsored by the Putnam County Youth Bureau, Pegasus is an educational program for children ages 6 to 14 and their parent(s) or caregiver(s) who have a loved one suffering from alcoholism or other drug dependency. This program helps children and their families to learn about and understand the issues that surround alcoholism and other drug use.

Pegasus is both FREE and CONFIDENTIAL, and most importantly, does not label children or those suffering from addiction. It is a program designed to help families understand the disease, as well as ways to cope. This is accomplished in fun and creative ways!

Pre-registration is required. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Marie O'Connor, at (845) 808-1600 Ext 46126 or Marie.Oconnor@putnamcountyny.gov .
