I found this idea in Family Fun magazine
materials
- 1 2 liter washed and clean soda bottle
- skewer or scissors
- duct tape
- garden hose
Directions:
- Once the soda bottle is cleaned, pierce 1 side of it with about 12 holes using the skewers or a pair of scissors.
- The original directions say to buy a 3/4 inch female by 3/4 inch female swivel hose adapter. BUT me being the crafty person I am just used duct tape to secure the bottle to the hose and saved a few dollars! After all I wanted to keep it green by recycling and not spending any green.
- Once the bottle is attached with the adapters or duct tape, turn it on full blast! The more water pressure you have the higher it will squirt out.
Once the kids have finished playing with the sprinkler, it is perfect for watering the veggie garden or flowers.
Using the duct tape this craft literally took me less then 5 minutes to make.
