"Rise of the Guardians" In Theaters November 21st

Contest and Craft Ideas From the Film

By Eric Cohen November 20, 2012

One of the great things about having kids is that it gives you an excuse to get excited about animated movies. And we are super excited for the release of "Rise of the Guardians" on November 21st.  “Rise of the Guardians” is an epic adventure that tells the story of a group of heroes – each with extraordinary abilities. The film sheds a whole new light on the classic characters of Santa Claus “North”, the Easter Bunny” Bunnymund”, the Tooth Fairy “Tooth”, the Sandman “Sandy” and “Jack Frost”.

When an evil spirit known as Pitch lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal Guardians must join forces for the first time to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children all over the world.

The brilliance of the film is seeing these well known characters as heroes. Each one brings a unique element to the film. To help you learn more about the characters Dreamworks has some neat videos like this one about Jack Frost.
