This Week's Welcome

March 24, 2015

So about that healthier week I was hoping for.....did you catch  my MK FB post last week?  Yeah, good times.  Good times.  For those of you that missed it, I took Shane to the doctor with a 104.6 fever.  We were late leaving because I was afraid if hurlage.  I got him to the pediatrician without any trouble, though. WOHOO mama!

Then the check-in lady happened......I checked in.  I asked if we could wait in the bathroom.  She looked at me like I was stupid and asked why.  I looked at her like she was more stupid, and I told her because Shane was going to be sick.  She tells me NO!  Can you believe this?  NO!  Not only NO, but 'I can give you a bucket.'  The entire waiting room looked at me like that woman has got to be kidding.

She gives me a bucket that had obviously been rinsed but CLEARLY NOT SANITIZED.  I was so disgusted.  And what happened two minutes later?  YUP.  ALL over their carpet, all over their sick waiting room, all over himself, all over the stroller, EVERYWHERE.  The poor teenager in the room with us looked like he was going to hurl to.

And do you think I had wipes?  NOOOO.  I left them in the car during the rush of trying to get two kids, freezing cold and ready to hurl, into the building.  Do you think CHEERY BUCKET LADY had them?  NOOOOO.  Thankfully an awesome mom gave me all her wipes.  Thank GOD for other awesome moms out there.

If you're an awesome mom (and you have to be if you're a reader of MK), I love you.  If you're the check-in lady....no words for you honey.  No (nice) words.

Have a great, splat free week in Putnam County.
