Review: Hasbro Nerf Rebelle Supere Soaker Tri Threat Crossbow

and Hasbro Nerf Super Soaker Flashflood Water Blaster

I have been a fan of Hasbro since my childhood best friend’s father was employed with them.  How amazing to have you parent work for a toy company!  I still love them today, even more now that I have children.  When I was offered the opportunity to test out their new Nerf Super Soakers, just in time for summer, I had to jump at the chance.  In fact, all I coincidentally have been hearing in this house for the past two weeks from my 5yo is “Can I have a Nerf Soaker for my birthday?”  He was ecstatic to test them out well before his birthday.

The Nerf Rebelle Super Soaker Tri Threat Crossbow is my favorite of the two.  It allows over 35 pumps of ‘super soaks’ that is JUST enough water to hit your target without making your 4yo brother cry (no guarantees on the 1yo sister…).  Due to the pump action, it also allows other players sufficient time for a fair retaliations and moms enough time to gather cover.  In all, it’s the perfect soaker for the family and party games, allowing everyone a fun time.

The Nerf Super Soaker Flashflood Water Blaster is equally fun.  This has a dual action soaker.  The first is a pump action for a quick soak.  The second allows a much larger bit of water to fill a secondary tank by steadily pulling back on suction plug (like a giant medicine syringe for the antibiotics) and then shooting a large plume of water out.  The latter allows for heavy soakage, but does empty your reserves quicker.  Kids may be taken by surprise, but the soaker also allows for fair retaliation by the opposing parties.

My family was pleased with the lack of leaking in these soakers, the easy (and quick) to fill reservoirs, the heavy duty caps keeping the water in (the Crossbow my husband had to help close up), and the inherent fun within these soakers. As I type this, the 5yo and 4yo are outside continue to soak the daylights out of everyone and everything (sorry doggies; sorry 1yo sister).

Both soakers are available at most major retailers and HasbroToyShop.com.
