Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is back! How did they make it better? Normally held in March, they moved this bi-annual event to May this year to accommodate outdoor dining. Talk about a delicious win-win.
If you're not familiar with HVRW, you owe it to yourself to book a reservation to enjoy either a three course lunch for $25.95 or a three-course dinner for $35.95. The options are seemingly endless too with 120 restaurants participating across Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster, Orange and Sullivan counties. Four must try options in Putnam include:
151 Bryant Pond Rd, Mahopac; 845.526.1200
I'm embarrassed to admit that I haven't been to Char yet. 🙈 The local reviews are phenomenal and their HVRW menu can't be beat. The chicken scarpello risotto is definitely me but find your joy here.
Clock Tower Grill
512 Clock Tower Dr, Brewster; 845.582.0574
You can never go wrong with Clock Tower Grill. They have quite the eclectic menu sure to please every palate. I'm leaning towards their short ribs but saving room for their bread pudding. HVRW menu is here.
Hudson House River Inn
2 Main St, Cold Spring; 845.265.9355
I included Hudson House River Inn as a delicious Mother's Day dinner option in this article a few weeks back. If you couldn't make it then, you really should make the time for their HVRW menu here. I, myself, cannot go past their Lobster Bique- yum!
45 Fair St, Cold Spring; 845.265.4778
Riverview Restaurant offers New American fare. The menu will rotate daily for HVRW but expect apps like roasted pepper and portobello burrata, steamed mussels, and Cuban black bean soup, as well as mains such as fresh-made ravioli, grilled swordfish, roasted vegetable tacos, and more.
