Some would say that "The Voice" of Putnam County is represented by The Putnam Chorale. Founded in 1984, it is the sole community chorus in Putnam County providing high quality choral and orchestral music. The two-fold mission of the Chorale is to provide amateur and aspiring professional singers an opportunity to enrich their lives through choral singing and to provide the community with compelling performance experiences unrivaled outside of major city venues. This not-for-profit organization is truly a gem within the community.
NEW in 2021 for the Putnam Chorale is the addition of a youth chorus geared for children between the ages of 8-12. They are doing an Opening Concert "informance" on June 5th for the community to hear this talent AND welcome new comers interested in joining. Find out more here.
Can't make it on June 5th but want to offer your child the gift of music? You need to check out their Summer Workshop running 7/19-7/23. Activities include: intro to choral singing, lessons on expressing yourself using your unique voice, theater games, dance classes, art projects and more!
