Join Our Community of Writers at Macaroni Kid!
Are you someone who knows what’s happening around town? Do you enjoy writing and want to find fun ways to get more involved in our community? If you have parenting tips, activity ideas, crafts, or recipes to share, we want to hear from you!
Do you love exploring local parks, restaurants, businesses, or venues? Are you a fan of Macaroni Kid? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Macaroni Kid Westchester County sites and Putnam County are looking for you!
We’re expanding our editorial team and seeking enthusiastic contributors to write articles geared toward families with children. Guest writers can submit pieces on any topic related to our community, focusing on locations within Westchester or within an hour's drive. Ideal article length is 3-5 paragraphs, and lists are always welcome!
What’s in it for you?
- Your writing could be published on our website and in our e-newsletter.
- Regular contributors may receive opportunities for specific writing assignments, including product and venue reviews, often with complimentary tickets or items provided for the purpose of review.
- Contributors will be compensated $25 for each article published.
Please note: submission does not guarantee publication, and timing will depend on our editorial calendar. Articles related to a business may be considered, but will not qualify for compensation (a brief blurb about the business can be included in the footer). All content is subject to final editing by Macaroni Kid.
To submit your article, email the content, along with a title and byline, to RachelS@macaronikid.com. Including a photo or graphic will greatly increase your chances of publication, but please ensure that any images are free from copyright infringement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses to promote advertising opportunities.
- Identify potential clients and reach out to them through calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
- Present and explain advertising packages to businesses, highlighting the benefits of partnering with Macaroni Kid.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to create compelling content that showcases local events and businesses.
- Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
